How to Get to Tibet from China

At present, there are two main ways for travelers to get to Tibet from China. Firstly, travelers can take a direct train from some major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Lanzhou, Xi’an, Xining, and Chongqing. After the construction of Qinghai Tibet Railway, more and more tourists get to Tibet by train. The scenery along the railway is attractive and stunning. Secondly, tourists can take direct flights from Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Lanzhou, Xi’an, Xining, Chongqing, and Hong Kong to Lhasa. Taking a flight to Tibet is the most convenient way. If you have a tight schedule, you’d better take a flight. Compared with taking a flight, taking a train to Tibet is the best way to adapt to the high altitude sickness.
